Free speech is not free. Many groups, like Christians, must continually fight for their freedoms even here in America.
If these Christians have to see and hear Atheists advertisements about how religion is a hoax, then Atheists must allow Christian ads.
Not so, says The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), facing a lawsuit filed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington yesterday.
WMATA claims it is “issue-oriented advertising, including political, religious and advocacy advertising.”
The message, according to the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, is very simple. It is not overtly Christian, rather, the ad conveys a simple message of hope, and an invitation to participate in the Christmas season.
