Marriage: undefined

This past Tuesday was the 3rd Anniversary of the un-defining of marriage. On June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that  same-sex couples have the fundamental right to marry. The ruling requires all fifty states to perform and recognize the marriages of same-sex couples on the same terms and conditions as the marriages of opposite-sex couples, with all the accompanying rights and responsibilities.

In November 2005, 76 percent of Texas voters approved a proposed amendment to the Texas Constitution defining marriage as between one man and one woman. However, County Clerk Gerry Rickoff (Rep) began issuing same-sex “marriage” licenses in February 2015 as soon as (“Catholic”) Fed Judge Orlando Garcia, St Mary’s Law School Grad., decided unilaterally to overturn the Constitutional Texas Marriage Law of one man + one woman.

Strangely, even here in Bexar County, marriage licenses have “Holy Matrimony” printed on them. What is a political community doing declaring and proclaiming a civil license as a “Holy Matrimony”???
