After back to back shootings, Trump called for red flag laws. Here’s what they are.

President Trump called for “Bipartisan solutions” to combat deadly mass shootings, including “red flag laws” which would allow law enforcement, family members, and other concerned parties to petition a judge to confiscate guns from individuals who may cause harm to themselves and others.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-SC, doesn’t want a federal law but wants legislation to encourage states to pass their own red flag laws.
