2 companies reach $7.7-million settlement over allegations of selling fetal tissue

Great news, good start, but not enough!

The first settlement over allegations of selling baby body parts has settled.

Prosecutors opened an investigation into the companies in September 2015 after a complaint was submitted by the Irvine-based Center for Medical Progress.

The anti-abortion group gained national attention in 2015 after releasing a video showing Planned Parenthood affiliates discussing the sale of aborted fetuses.

The American people are looking to this case where people and organizations are not just paying a fine, but individuals actually are held accountable for criminal activities.

This ‘settlement’ is good news, but we the American citizens expect actual punishment to the fullest extent of the law.
