Silent #Euthanasia?

Abuse of the vulnerable and elderly is a vile crime. That’s why the #Alleged rape of a 29-year-old woman in a Phoenix, Arizona, healthcare facility made news around the world when she gave birth to a baby boy. The #NewYorkTimes ran at least four articles on the stomach-churning scandal.

But, astonishingly, the involuntary #Euthanasia of possibly as many as #34ElderlyPatients in two hospitals in the city of #Columbus has been almost ignored outside of #Ohio.

According to #MountCarmelHealthSystem, one of its doctors, #WilliamHusel, ordered overdoses of powerful painkillers for at least 34 near-death patients — 33 at Mount Carmel West in Franklinton and one at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s in Westerville.

All of the #34Died, although six may not have died because of the painkillers.
