Louisville Investigation

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron said police officers did not use a “no-knock” entry but in fact, announced themselves at Breonna Taylor’s apartment when they executed a search warrant in March. “Our investigation found that [officers] Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified in their use of force after having been fired on by Kenneth Walker,” said Attorney General Cameron. Walker was not injured, but Taylor was shot several times. She died hours later at a hospital. The two officers were not indicted. A third police officer was charged for wanton endangerment for firing shots that went into a nearby apartment.
