NEISD Board votes 5-1 for the Mask Mandate to be implemented on Monday, Aug. 23

.With Shannon Grona absent, the North East Independent School District – NEISD Board of Trustees votes 5:1 in favor of a mask mandate for up to 6 weeks. This was also consistent with the Board Members who were masking themselves tonight. 5:1Sean Maika, Superintendent, asked the Board to pass the Mask Requirments so he’ll have “Operational Flexibility”. Yet there is NO flexibility for parents who want their children to have mask choice.

District 6 Trustee, Steve Hilliard, Reagan Cluster, was the only opposing vote.
