WARNING: This story contains graphic details of a horrible crime. Riders on a Philadelphia train held up their phones and recorded a man who was raping a woman. The passengers watched the assault through more than two dozen train stops. They refused to help and didn’t call 911.
A transit officer finally witnessed the crime and ripped the assailant off the woman. SEPTA Transit Police Chief Thomas Nestel III was shocked. “What we want is everyone to be angry and disgusted.”
