CITY PAYS CATHOLIC POLICE OFFICER
The city of Louisville, KY, has agreed to pay $75,000 to Officer Matthew Schrenger after he was suspended for praying outside an abortion facility. Schrenger was off duty last February when he prayed outside the facility before it was open for the day. Matt Heffron, senior counsel for the Thomas More Society, said the city’s actions against the police officer were “a significant and inexcusable violation of a loyal officer’s constitutional rights.”
