ANOTHER REPUBLICAN VETOES A GIRLS SPORTS BILL

Spencer Cox, R-UT, vetoed a bill that would ban male athletes from competing in girls’ sports, arguing that there are only four “transgender” athletes in Utah. “Four kids who are just trying to find some friends and feel like they are a part of something. …Rarely has so much fear and anger been directed at so few,” said Cox. Gov. Eric Holcomb, also a Republican, vetoed a similar bill in Indiana just a day before Cox announced his decision.
