A Peaceful, Prayerful Witness for Life

Life Chain SA is a peaceful public witness bringing together pro-life individuals for prayer, fellowship and a visible demonstration of support for women, children and the sanctity of human life.

Participants will stand together in prayer for our nation, for the protection of mothers and children, and for an end to abortion. This annual gathering represents the Judeo-Christian community’s commitment to protecting human life from conception until natural death.

Event Schedule

11:30 AM

Life Chain Sign Pickup Begins Pick up your sign near the white San Antonio Family Association trailer in the former Sears parking lot, between LongHorn Steakhouse and Chipotle.

12:00–3:30 PM

Music and Fellowship Gather with families, churches and fellow supporters from throughout the San Antonio community.

12:05 PM

Walk for Life A public Walk for Life with a police escort provided by the San Antonio Police Department.

1:00–1:45 PM

Prayer and Speakers Ceremony Join the community for prayer and featured speakers. Speaker announcements will be released as they become available.

2:00–3:00 PM

Human Life Chain Participants will form a peaceful, prayerful public witness along San Pedro Avenue. Security will be provided by the Bexar County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office.

The gathering area will be on the grassy knoll at Park North Drive, just inside Loop 410 on San Pedro Avenue. The Life Chain will extend south toward Basse Road.

Police officers and constables will be present during the event. Families and children are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Register, Volunteer or Co-Sponsor

Registration is free. Volunteers and organizational co-sponsors are also needed, and service hours are available. Life Chain SA shirts and caps may be ordered through the event website.

Help Mothers in Need

Donations of diapers, baby wipes, gently used baby clothing and monetary contributions are greatly appreciated. Donations may be dropped off at the sign pickup and return area beside the white San Antonio Family Association trailer.

Stand for Life With Your Family

Bring your family and invite members of your church, school, organization or community group. Life Chain SA offers parents an opportunity to teach their children about protecting human dignity and putting their faith into loving action.

Participants are encouraged to share photographs from the event on social media using #LifeChainSA and #UniteSA. The event may also be viewed live through the Life Chain SA Facebook page.
