Testimony by Citizens at Texas State Board of Education regarding Sex Education
The #TexasEducationCode requires all #IndependentSchoolDistricts (“#ISD”) to have a #SchoolHealthAdvisoryCouncil (“#SHAC”) and mandates that all ISD Board of Trustees accept recommendations by the SHAC.
Why aren’t all Texas SHAC’s subject to the #OpenMeetingsAct (especially when it appears that every recommendation that the North East Independent School District (“#NEISD”) SHAC has made to the NEISD board of trustees has been approved with a rubber stamp, and they have a historical precedence of being more open and transparent, until recently)?
Is the change from SHAC Open Meetings to Closed Meetings to supposedly protect students on the Kids SHAC or to insulate the bureaucratic agendas of certain decision makers in the NEISD, City of San Antonio, San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (#SAMHD), Healthy Futures Texas (#HFTX) or on the SHAC itself? Listen and learn about the terribly twisted new NEISD Middle School Sex Ed curriculum that promotes that anal, oral, or vaginal sex is just as safe as abstinence as long as a condom is used. You’ll see the Planned Parenthood business model within the “Comprehensive Sex Ed” (CSE) curriculum that none of the NEISD Board of Trustees read before the voted unanimously for it on May 9, 2016. Do they have to pass it in order to learn about it (tongue in cheek)? Or is it a disordered agenda using willful blindness to avoid accountability for introducing 11-13 yr old children to sexual ideas and using others for selfish temporary gratification? In general bring them ideas to PLAN PROMISCUITY to use the eventual abortion services of “PLANNED PARENTHOOD.”
