NEISD Board Votes to Rename Robert E. Lee High School

Last night, the NEISD succumbed to political correctness and ignored history. Without public input, the Board decided to remove the name of Robert E. Lee High School.

This issue was taken up with due process last year and several years prior, but the citizens told the BOT that they wanted to keep the Lee name. Now, without due process, the Board dispenses a process and rushes to a rash, emotional decision.

Ironically, the NEISD administration allowed a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood at Robert E. Lee High School in Spring of 2017, but now wants to change the name of the school because it is “racist.”

Which entity is the real racist, one who never purchased a slave or the one in the business of killing racial minorities?

You cannot be both “Pro-Choice” and Anti-Racist.
