Texas House advances bill banning cities from partnering with Planned Parenthood on any services

Great news from the Texas Legislature : yesterday the Texas House passed 
Senate Bill 22, which prohibits tax dollars from going to abortion businesses and their affiliates.

This was 2nd reading. There will be 3rd and final reading, then it goes to the Governor for his signature.

SB 22 Author: Donna Campbell.

State Rep. Candy Noble picked it up in the House. She authored HB 1928, which was a similar bill.

During the debate on SB 22 on the House floor, there was an amendment to exempt sex education. No amendments passed.
