SAFA DoveHunt Mission, Vision, Values & Goals Statements
8th Charity SAFA Dove Hunt for Freedom benefiting SAFA & GRN 89.7 FM
Mission: To promote family, freedom and objective truth through the radio airwaves
Vision: Opportunity to feed the mouths & stomachs, hearts, minds and souls of dove hunt participants and their families. This event is designed as a virtuous hunting and charity day for hunters and their families so that they may grow closer to God. As the “salt of the earth,” participants will experience the right to bear arms, nourishment of their bodies and enjoy compelling discussions that will encourage them to continue their journey toward the peace and joy that only comes from Christ in their marriage and family life.
Values:
We believe in peace through the strength of the familyincluding the ability to defend and protect themselves.
We believe in objective truth and the eternal plan of salvation, including knowledge of Jesus Christ and His Bride, and believe the Good News enriches peoples’ lives on earth. Through knowledge and understanding of The Word, we believe everyone can obtain authentic peace and joy which is only attained by the overcoming one’s own inclination to selfishness.
We believe the Guadalupe Radio Network (GRN) is aneffective and edifying tool able to ground people in good times and encourage them in difficult times so they can lead lives of virtue.
We believe in the freedoms endowed to us by the 1st and 2nd Amendments.
Goals:
1. Raise monetary funds to help further the missions of the San Antonio Family Association (SAFA) and GRN.
2. Create an opportunity for a bountiful hunting experience combined with good fraternal time for those who don’t know how to or cannot afford it.
3. Share the Good News of Salvation through GRN, an excellent teaching tool through a casual and fun fundraiser which also embraces a fundamental right of Americans’ First Freedoms.
4. Give Pastors, Priests, Seminarians and Religious an opportunity to have some virtuous fraternal time together with laity.
5. Create an opportunity for evangelization and catechesis for all to grow in knowledge and desire to renew themselves in God (i.e. GRN Radio, corporal & spiritual works of mercy and proper disposition of sacramentals.)
6. Promote SAFA and its mission to protect, defend and promote the family in the public square in order to uphold the building block of society.
7. Counteract a culture of indifference by forging a new culture of life, freedom, marriage and family to promote long-term domestic prosperity.
8. Educate participants on important and pertinent issuesincluding concerns and threats to the family and prudent courses of action.
Mission Accomplished by the grace of God and His peoples’ help via love of Thy neighbor!
