A Grand Bargain On Student Debt: Loan Forgiveness For Ending Federal Student Lending
Matthew Peterson says it’s time for a grand bargain on student debt: Provide loan forgiveness to those currently drowning in student debt while ending the federal student lending system that is propping up higher education, which is in desperate need of reform.
“Our institutions of higher education are not teaching what they ought to be, but they continue to survive in a government supported system that allows them to avoid the consequences of their failure,” he said.
Why is it that higher education tuition has climbed at a 10% increasing rate and the federal government is the lender?
Sounds like corruption to many.
