Court rules Daleiden’s undercover videos caused ‘substantial harm’ to Planned Parenthood

A federal jury found that pro-life undercover journalists David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt had caused ‘substantial harm’ to Planned Parenthood by secretly recording Planned Parenthood staffers to expose their business practices.

“This is a dangerous precedent for citizen journalism,” stated the Center for Medical Progress, the group Daleiden started. The jury awarded Planned Parenthood $2.275 million.
