ABORTION & COVID
In 1994, then Sen. Joe Biden wrote his constituents: “I have consistently — on no fewer than 50 occasions — voted against federal funding of abortions.” Biden added: “(T)he government should not tell those with strong convictions against abortion, such as you and I, that we must pay for them.” But that’s no longer his view. And on Friday afternoon, President Biden will sign a COVID relief bill into law that could contain as much as $414 billion in spending on health plans that cover abortions.
