Another Violent Night in San Antonio & Nirenberg Says His Crime Plan is Working
Crime and violence continue in San Antonio. At the same time, the city leaders support soft-on-crime policies, and the local news media refuses to report the problem fairly and provide equal time to the conservative point of view.
On Wednesday, June 7, KSAT 12 TV News interviewed SA Mayor Ron Nirenberg regarding the recent violence and crime surge. As expected, the mayor blamed guns for the violence ignoring the stabbings and assaults.
The mayor applauded the city’s anti-crime plan claiming that crime in “hot spots” had been decreased by the presence of police. However, the KSAT interviewer did not challenge him about the dispersal of crime, where criminals go elsewhere or hide until the police leave.
Furthermore, Nirenberg has undermined the police by kneeling in city council chambers with Black Lives Matter, an anarchist group. He also did not condemn the damage inflicted on businesses, police officers, and innocent people by BLM rioters two years ago. Now he wants the police to address the crime and violence encouraged and justified by leftist radicals?
KSAT, SA Express-News, KLRN, and other local news outlets support the liberal “justice reform” agenda and do not challenge the mayor or city and county officials. They also rarely include conservative opinions to balance a debate or discussion on any issues, particularly crime.
In the meantime, on Tuesday, June 6, at around 11:15 pm, a man in his 20s was stabbed in the arm at a house in the 2000 block of Bronte Street, not far from Highway 90 and Ceralvo Street on the west side.
On June 7, Wednesday morning at about 2 am, a woman was shot in the chest at the Arcadian Apartments in the 4600 block of East Loop 1604 North, not far from Interstate 10 and Binz-Engleman Road.
The SA Crime Plan is a farce, and the liberal city politicians, leftist community leaders, and biased news media ignore the truth.
The citizens must demand action by Mayor Ron Nirenberg and the City Council. The local politicians, community leaders, and news media must stop excusing and tolerating bad behavior in the name of equity and equality.
Also, San Antonio needs a District Attorney and local judges who will prosecute and punish all crimes, large and small. We must also support and turn loose to fight crime proactively before it happens.
Citizens must call the mayor and city council to demand protection for themselves and their property.
