City of San Antonio Continues to Promote LGBTQ Agenda
On the anniversary of the Obergefell decision, the City of San Antonio continues to promote the LGBTQ agenda in their support for the July 1, 2017 Pride Festival and Pride Parade as well as their suggestion of adding rainbow painted crosswalks. Both of these decisions are not surprising considering new mayor Ron Nirenberg and the bulk of the City Council members were endorsed by the Stonewall Democrats. Yet neither of these acts is good for San Antonio, and demonstrates that a moral government is lacking at City Hall.
Consider the SA Pride Parade, which has two young “transgender” girls as grand marshals. To place young girls in this role is grossly exploitative, especially in the case of the 8 year old girl. The parade starts a 9 pm and will feature many men and women dressed in jock straps or bikini bottoms and small tassels on breasts. This exploitation amounts to child abuse. To make matters worse, many of the new Progressive CoSA Council will be in attendance condoning this exploitation and perversion and the new Mayor Ron Nirenberg will also be the co-grand marshal with the girls.
The City’s endorsement of this event is tantamount to supporting child abuse and goes against medical science. The American College of Pediatricians has been clear on this issue and they have encouraged government officials against promoting the notion of gender fluidity. They have even argued that treating children with hormone blockers is child abuse. Yet the CoSA not only ignores the medical reality that one’s sex is biologically determined, they promote this science fiction.

The rainbow crosswalks likewise evidence a denial of the facts. Homosexual lifestyles are unhealthy and unnatural. The lifespan of those who engage in homosexuality is considerably shorter than the average person. Diseases such as HPV, HIV, and even Zika are significantly higher amongst practicing homosexuals. Yet the elected officials in City Hall seek to promote this lifestyle with a special interest crosswalk as well as supporting the Pridefest and Parade.
One has to wonder, “Will they cater to every special interest group in the same manner?” Will there be a “Black Lives Matters” crosswalk? Or a “La Raza themed crosswalk?” Will conservative causes and groups be likewise recognized? Will there be “pro-life” crosswalks? Does the CoSA Mayor and Council represent all of San Antonio celebrating the diversity of all view points or do they only celebrate those who engage in unhealthy lifestyles or deny biological reality in order to satisfy a political debt?
Of course, politically motivated crosswalks and parades celebrating sexual deviancy aren’t what city governments are elected to do. We have potholes to be filled, infrastructure issues to be dealt with, and other issues, which properly reside in the purview of a municipality. Yet our officials seemed determined to neglect those things, which would serve the entire community in order to support a political agenda discriminating against the vast majority of the population of San Antonio.
The truth is most of the citizens of San Antonio don’t want tax dollars wasted on rainbow crosswalks and don’t think it is healthy to parade gender confused youths through the city. The vast majority wants safe streets, lower taxes, and a government, which promotes virtue and not vice. Sadly in 2017, those elected to lead San Antonio don’t represent the majority. Nor do they represent reality. Instead they are painting the city through their rainbow colored glasses and punishing those of us who oppose their agenda.
