Republicans in the Senate plan to introduce a new coronavirus aid package today. It would provide a $300 expanded unemployment benefit until the end of the year, help small businesses with payroll, and provide liability protections for businesses. But Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the bill “is headed nowhere.” Pelosi and Democrats wanted $1 trillion for state and local aid, but Republicans have called that provision a “bailout.” Why would America have to bail out uber-liberal big cities and states?
