DR. SEUSS CANCELED?

President Biden refused to recognize children’s author Dr. Seuss on Read Across America Day despite the fact that the day has been celebrated on the author’s birthday since 1998. Biden’s refusal comes after a Virginia school system canceled Dr. Seuss over racial “undertones” in his books. President Obama said in his 2015 proclamation on the day: “The works of Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known to us as Dr. Seuss, have sparked a love for reading in generations of students.”

It seems that Americans don’t want Dr. Seuss to be canceled at all. The top 50 bestselling books list on Amazon is now dominated by 30 Seuss titles. The development comes after the publisher announced it was yanking six Seuss books from the catalog over alleged racist content.
