‘FASTING FROM WHITENESS’

The First United Church of Oak Park in suburban Chicago has told its parishioners that it will abstain from performing any music associated with white people during Lent. “In our worship services throughout Lent, we will not be using any music or liturgy written or composed by white people,” stated the website for the church, which describes itself as an “open and inclusive Christian Community.”

Just imagine what this would be like if some Church fasted from Blackness or Hispanics? This is destructive to the one human family either way.
