FEDS VS. RELIGIOUS HOSPITALS
RE: “Sex-Reassignment Procedures”
The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments today on a Health and Human Services mandate which would force religious-based hospitals to perform so-called sex-reassignment procedures.
“Those fighting the mandate are Catholic doctors, hospitals, and clinics who joyfully serve all patients regardless of sex or gender identity,” said the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty in a statement.
The 8th Circuit is the nation’s most conservative federal circuit court, with 10 judges appointed by Republican presidents and one appointed by a Democratic president.
