Hyde Saved, For Now….
Senators began debate on the $3.5 trillion budget resolution. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-WV, joined all Republicans in voting yes to preserve the pro-life Hyde Amendment, in a 50-49 vote.
But Andrew C. Quinn warned pro-lifers not to get too jubilant: “Watch for the wraparound at the end of the night.
We have previously seen Sen. Manchin vote with Schumer to wipe out inconvenient amendments that he himself supported hours earlier.”
