New York City Is Reversing an LGBT Counseling Gag Rule. That’s a Win for Everyone.

Counselors in New York City were forbidden from speaking to patients about overcoming unwanted same sex attraction or transgender feelings since the passage of a 2017 “Conversion Therapy” ban.

But faced with a lawsuit and the shifting makeup of federal courts, New York City leaders have lifted the counseling gag rule.
