Partial victory against the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center

On Monday, March 19, SAFA friend and watchdog Jack Finger confronted the pro abortion, pro homosexual, your-tax-funded Esperanza Peace and Justice Center in the Bexar County County Court-at-Law in a classic good vs. evil courtroom fight.

Last year the Esperanza Center invited the public (meaning Jack, representing the San Antonio Family Association) to a workshop teaching attendees how to “lobby one’s legislator on transgender issues.”

The Esperanza Center thereupon had Jack arrested merely because he had, legally, spoken out in the past against the Esperanza’s agenda to elected officials. Mr Finger was arrested while observing the open meeting by the ACLU hosted by the Esperanza Center.

In his battle in court today against the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center last week, Mr. Finger won a partial victory.  A mistrial occurred when Esperanza Director Graciela Sanchez broke the pre-trial rules and spoke up about Mr. Finger’s history simply to influence the jury. Whereupon, Honorable Judge Tom Behrens removed the jury and told Ms. Sanches to leave the courtroom.

The battle is not over yet. Mr. Finger’s attorney, Joe Appelt, is filing a motion for Double Jeopardy and the hearing is April 26th.
