The Sacred Heart March for Life and Marriage is a peaceful Catholic witness honoring human life, authentic marriage, and San Antonio’s Catholic heritage, rooted in devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Why We March

Life:
We give thanks for the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision (2022), which restored protection for preborn children and renewed the call to defend life at every stage.

Marriage:
We joyfully reaffirm marriage as the faithful and fruitful union of one man and one woman, a truth increasingly obscured since Obergefell (2015).

Sacred Heart & Heritage:
Our march began in June 2022 following the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. June is Marriage Month, and San Antonio traces its Catholic roots to the first Holy Mass celebrated here on June 13, 1691, the feast of St. Anthony of Padua.
