San Antonio is slowing down the bidding process to avoid ‘train wrecks’ like the Chick-fil-A vote

The #SanAntonio #CityCouncil is adjusting the process they use to award high profile contracts to include more discussion in advance and avoid quick decisions on controversial deals such as the recent Chick-fil-A vote.

The council generally gets briefed on contracts the day before they are expected to vote on them, but not always. The Chick-fil-A vote, for example, came on the same day the full council discussed the airport concession contract for the first time.
