“Scary” New Feature on Snapchat

Parents, be sure to check this setting if your kids are using Snapchat.

Snapchat has introduced a new tracker update called SnapMap, where users can view the exact location of other users. It shows the area, town, and street, and if you zoom in enough, it shows the house on the street layout. You don’t have to be friends with the user in order to access the information.

This is a huge concern for parents and others who want to maintain some privacy.

Police in several areas have issued warnings, and say they are especially concerned about the safety of children.
