STUDENTS PROTEST PRO-LIFE SPEAKER
Students at Archbishop Riordan High School, a Catholic school in San Francisco, organized a walkout to protest an all-school assembly featuring a pro-life speaker.
Five minutes before the scheduled talk, almost all of the 800 students walked out, leaving just a few dozen willing to listen to the pro-life speaker.
Tim Reardon, the school’s interim president, stated: “Many of the parents sent their kids to Catholic school so that the kids could learn about Catholic social teaching. To avoid these topics would be a failure to serve these individuals.”
