TEA investigations into improper student-teacher relationships jumped 36 percent in past year
Investigations into improper teacher-student relationships jumped 36 percent in 2017. The Texas Education Agency opened 302 investigations into improper relationships in FY2017. It was at least the seventh year in a row that number has increased.
It is time we reconsider what school districts are teaching children about sex. The evidence exposes that the more the ISD allows a curriculum that condones promiscuity and is inconsistent with risk avoidance education, the more illicit and illegal situations like these occur. Most ISD Boards, including the NEISD, have approved sex ed programs that are not 100% abstinence-based within the last seven years.
