Texas Lt. Gov. Patrick wants AG Paxton to look into San Antonio immigrant smuggling case
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on Wednesday asked Attorney General Ken Paxton to look into a December human smuggling case in San Antonio. Patrick wants to know if how the chief of the San Antonio Police Department handled the case violated Texas’ immigration enforcement law.
George Rodriguez, El Conservador, filed a SAPD Complaint with the Texas Attorney General office.
This is an important immigration and safety issue in San Antonio. A human smuggling case is when someone has freely chosen to be is illegally transported under into the USA. A human trafficking case is when a person is being illegally transported against their free will.
