Protecting, defending, and promoting the family, the Building Block of Society

The City of Saint Anthony and Its Leaders Need Prayers

They NEED our prayers and also a swift kick as they defy the very existence of this City of St. Anthony as a community founded on Jesus Christ and for the good of His people. SA was founded on the Judeo-Christian faith and the City government since 2011 has given lip service yet opposed Jesus’ Teachings, given excuses for the enabling and facilitating of the abortion industry and homosexuality against natural law, to the point now where they openly defy Jesus and openly promote the harm and destruction God’s children, the undermining of marriage, and demolition of the family, all in an effort to remove God from government and make people more and more dependent on government so to make government bigger and bigger for it to become the new god of San Antonians.

I’m grateful for your attendance as a prayer for them and your prayers for them and especially for praying an incredible prayer of The Church attributed to St. John XIII.

We pray this same prayer before all of our meetings. Incredible ecumenical prayer that has a call to action for believers.

Amen to that prayer!

Thanks be to God.

St. John XIII, pray for us.
St. Anthony, pray for us.
Blessed Mary, mother of Jesus, pray for us.

Fr. Richard Samour wrote:

Our civil leaders deserve our prayers: This Morning, I had the Privilege and Blessing to Say the Invocation Prayer at the City Council of San Antonio. Mr Ron Nirenberg The San Antonio Mayor and DR. Adrian Rocha García member of the 4th district of San Antonio were very welcoming and kind.

Here Is My Speech: On behalf of Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, Archbishop of San Antonio and the bishops of San Antonio, I want to express my gratitude to allow me saying the Invocation prayer. The scriptures remind us to pray for our leaders and for the common good of the people of God. St. Paul says, “ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved.” Also our constitution reminds us that we are one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,”

Let us pray (Opening prayer of the II Vatican Council): “Heavenly Father Holy Spirit of Life, Spirit of Love, Spirit of Community, Spirit of Justice: We ask your blessings on the people who have been called to lead the community in which we live and work. We stand before you, Holy Spirit, conscious of our sinfulness, but aware that we gather in your name. Come to us, remain with us, and enlighten our hearts. Give us light and strength to know your will, to make it our own, and to live it in our lives. Guide us by your wisdom, support us by your power, for you are God, sharing the glory of Father and Son. You desire justice for all: enable us to uphold the rights of others; do not allow us to be misled by ignorance or corrupted by fear or favor. Unite us to yourself in the bond of love and keep us faithful to all that is true. As we gather in your name may we temper justice with love, so that all our decisions may be pleasing to you, and earn the reward promised to good and faithful servants. You live and reign with the Father and the Son, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
