Taxpayers BEWARE – SAFA exposed this boondoggle plan months ago. VIA has lifted its head to get it rolling before the end of the year to capture available federal dollars.

Streetcar-like “Advanced Rapid Transit” being pushed by VIA to capture lots of Federal funds for another local boondoggle this afternoon.

This ART Proposal will create a FIXED middle lane dedicated for buses only to help people get from the Airport down San Pedro Ave to downtown.

It will cause major inconveniences for residents along the fixed middle lane as no one will be able to cross it unless they go to the nearest intersection.

How many people turn left along San Pedro Ave to cross over the middle turning lane currently to get somewhere? Probably 80% plus of all drivers on San Pedro turn left regularly.

If this passes, there will be NO more left turns except at traffic lighted intersections.

Just say NO to another terrible idea to spend our tax dollars that negatively impacts the residents so VIA and the City of SA can get a gold star for “multi-modal metro planning”.
