Flooding Shuts Down Formula Plant Again

The Abbott baby formula factory in Sturgis, MI has once again shut down production, this time due to flooding.

The Food and Drug Administration’s initial shutdown of the Sturgis plant’s formula production was a central factor leading to nationwide baby formula shortages.

This week’s closure comes only days after the FDA finally allowed the Abbott facility to reopen.
