Indiana GOP Override Veto

Indiana lawmakers on Tuesday voted to override Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb’s veto of a law that bans males who identify as female from competing in women’s sports. “State senators voted 32-15 in favor of overriding Gov. Eric Holcomb following the same action in a 67-28 vote by the House earlier in the day,” the Associated Press reported.

Conservative activists lauded the move, arguing that it showed the popularity and power of the growing movement against LGBTQ attacks on women’s sports and the biological realities of sex.
