Mass Shooting Averted
A woman carrying a concealed pistol pulled the handgun and shot a man who was firing an AR-15 at numerous people attending a graduation party in Charleston, West Virginia on Wednesday evening.
“Instead of running … she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night,” said Charleston Police Department Chief of Detectives Tony Hazelett.
After shooting the suspect dead, the woman waited for police to arrive and cooperated with them. No one but the attacker was harmed.
