Military Fails to Meet Recruiting Goal
The U.S. Army is short of its recruitment goal by about 15,000 soldiers this year.
The Marine Corps normally enters a new fiscal year, (which began on October 1) with up to 50% of their recruiting goal secured.
This year they were only a little above 30%. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth called Fiscal Year 2022 “the Army’s most challenging recruiting year since the start of the all-volunteer force.”
