PRAYERS FOR PELOSI

Catholics brought 7,700 roses to the U.S. Capitol and gathered to pray the rosary for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who frequently invokes her Catholic faith while supporting abortion violence.

“We wanted this to be a prayer service, not a political rally,” said Maggie Gallagher of the Benedict XVI Institute.

“These roses are a rich and deep and visible symbol that Catholics cannot support the massive taking of innocent human life, whatever the politics, the pols [politicians], and the polls may say.”

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco, Pelosi’s own archbishop, had called for the prayer and rosary campaign.
