SAVING WOMEN’S SPORTS
Gov. Kristi Noem, R-SD, introduced draft legislation to save women’s sports in both K-12 and college athletics. Pro-family activist Jon Schweppe called the legislation “very strong.”
Noem had faced harsh criticism from Schweppe and other pro-family activists for vetoing legislation on girls sports in March.
On the new bill, Schweppe said: “If Governor Noem gets this done, South Dakota would become the tenth state to defend women’s sports. Noem would be joining a coalition of courageous governors including Brad Little of Idaho, Greg Gianforte of Montana, Jim Justice of West Virginia, and Ron DeSantis of Florida.”
