TEXAS MASK MANDATE
Gov. Greg Abbott, R-TX, lifted the state’s mask mandate almost a month ago, despite warnings from health experts of dire consequences. When the mask mandate ended, the seven-day average for new cases was at 7,259. But the number of positive cases has dropped for 18 days in a row — now approximately half the amount when the mask mandate was lifted.
